About ECAP
The Engineering Career Awareness Program (ECAP) is designed to support students with significant financial need, particularly those who are the first in their families to attend college. The program also welcomes students from geographic areas that are less well-represented at the University. ECAP offers financial assistance and provides a three-week summer bridge program to help students transition smoothly into university life. Students receive continuous support and resources throughout their academic careers, including access to mentorship, professional development, and career guidance. ECAP students become part of a tight-knit community, gaining the tools and encouragement they need to overcome challenges, thrive in their studies, and succeed in their future careers as engineers.
ECAP offers scholarships to students based on financial need, as determined by the FAFSA, along with academic leadership and potential. These scholarships help cover tuition, fees, books, and room and board, providing essential financial support to help students succeed in their engineering studies. The scholarships are renewable for up to four years, provided the student meets the University’s requirements for academic progress.
